| LESSON 1: Part 5 - Loves | |||
DISCOVERING WHAT YOU LOVEWe all have values and gifts that express who we are. We also have things that we love to do, things that make us happy just in the doing of them. Sometimes our gifts are the things we love to do. Other times our gifts help us do the things we love to do. Doing the things we love to do makes us joyous and happy. Happy and joyous people are people doing the things they love to do.What do you really love to do? What things about your job do you love to do? What things about your life do you love to do? Make a list of at least three things you love to do and send a copy to info.ugf @ gmail.com (no spaces in email address) for evaluation. As you work through this process you'll also identify things you do not like to do. As you learn these things, it pays to take a look at your personal values and gifts. You'll find, please don't be surprised, that the things you don't like to do don't feed you because they do not express your gifts and your values. Very few people are happy doing things that do not express their values and gifts. Almost every happy and joyous person in the world is doing exactly what they need to be doing to experience and express their values and gifts. Along the way we all have the potential to do what we love to do and express and experience our values and gifts. It's a decision we each have the opportunity to make. Some people never grasp the concept that doing what you love to do is what you came into this lifetime to do. You did not come into this lifetime to do something you hate to do. That isn't you. You need to remember that if you're doing something you hate to do, you're doing something that isn't you. Cleaning toilets can be fun to do for the person who has a gift for avoiding the odor and cleaning things in a joyous and happy frame of mind. If these are not your talents, you may not enjoy this occupation. Rule 1: The secret of being joyous and happy is using your gifts and values to do what you love to do. Rule 2: The secret of being joyous and happy is using your gifts and values to do what you love to do. Rule 3: The secret of being joyous and happy is using your gifts and values to do what you love to do. Remember these three rules as you read about how to find your purpose in life.
